Tribute from the Dean, Prof Dr Jason Chuah:
"Tan Sri Dato' Seri Visu was true supporter of the Faculty right to the very end.
I am deeply grateful for his encouragement and support not only when I decided to return to UM to take up the Deanship, but throughout my last ten months in the post. He was always delighted to hear about the changes we are introducing to the Faculty and about the achievements of our staff and students.
It is difficult to put into words how such positive notes from an illustrious former Dean made me feel. His loss is a loss for the Faculty - former, present and future students and staff. However, his legacy is one which would not be forgotten. His influence in the shape of legal education at UM is one which I am determined to build upon.
His keenness to see questioning students who are conversant not only about the legal rules and procedures but concepts and precepts of the law must be shared far and wide. As we mourn his loss, let us remember too the fidelity and passion he had brought to the study and practice of the law."
