Electronic waste (e-waste) is one of the fastest-growing waste streams globally, and Malaysia has become a key destination for illegal e-waste processing. These unregulated operations pose severe environmental and health risks, including toxic pollution, improper waste disposal, and long-term ecosystem damage.

This forum addressed the rise of illegal e-waste factories and their impact on the environment and public health, while helping law students understand the related legal and enforcement challenges.
