The UM Moot Club sends heartfelt congratulations to the UM team for their impressive showing at the Nuremberg Moot Court (Global Rounds) 2023 held in Nuremberg, Germany, from July 19th to 22nd, 2023.
We are delighted to share that the team representing our faculty and Malaysia secured a position in the Top 16. They also achieved an outstanding feat by ranking among the Top 6 out of 149 teams in the memorials stage of the competition.
In the preliminary round (Global Rounds) of the competition, the team achieved an impressive Top 2 ranking. The team members are:
1. Mr. Nishooldran A/L Ravindran
2. Ms. Cheryl Ng Wen Xuan
3. Ms. Rania Florian John Modoit
4. Ms. Snora A/P Munandai
Notably, Ms. Snora received the Best Speaker award for her eloquence, while Mr. Nishool was recognized as the Second Best Speaker in Preliminary Round 1 due to his impressive performance. Ms. Cheryl's exceptional skills earned her the Best Speaker award, and Ms. Rania's remarkable talent garnered her the Second Best Speaker accolade in Preliminary Round 2. Mr. Nishool's excellence continued to shine as he secured the Best Speaker award in the round of 16.
The team wishes to express their sincere gratitude to their coach, Mr. Nevyn Vinosh, whose exceptional guidance contributed significantly to their success.
