September 13, 2023  - The University of Malaya (UM) Faculty of Law was honored to host a visit this morning from esteemed delegates representing the National University of Singapore (NUS) Faculty of Law. The purpose of this visit was to explore the possibilities of fostering collaboration and strengthening ties between our two prominent institutions.

The NUS delegation was led by Associate Professor Arif A. Jamal, who serves as the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies at NUS Law. Accompanying him was Mr. Kamal Mamat, Associate Director for Admissions and Outreach at NUS Law. Their visit provided an opportunity for open and productive discussions on potential areas of partnership and collaboration between UM Law and NUS Law.

During their visit, both UM Law and NUS Law expressed their eagerness to enhance academic cooperation and knowledge exchange. While specific details of potential collaborations were not disclosed, the enthusiastic and forward-looking nature of the discussions suggests that exciting initiatives may be on the horizon.

Both institutions recognize the immense value of international partnerships in advancing legal education, research, and scholarship. Collaborations like these provide students and faculty members with unique opportunities for cross-cultural learning, joint research projects, and shared expertise.

UM Law extends its heartfelt gratitude to Associate Professor Arif A. Jamal and Mr. Kamal Mamat for taking the time to visit our campus and engage in these constructive dialogues. Their visit underscores the importance of fostering connections and fostering a global network of legal scholars and practitioners.

As the details of potential collaborations between UM Law and NUS Law continue to develop, we look forward to the exciting possibilities that lie ahead. We remain committed to promoting excellence in legal education and research on an international scale.
