ECOLAWGY UM is proud to present our very first webinar!

The purpose of this event is for students to have a better understanding of the law surrounding environmental change with topics including Malaysia and the Paris Agreement, National Policy on Climate Change, and Legal Approaches to Environmental Protection. We’ve invited lawyers and academicians whose expertise lies in the area of environmental law for a wider exposure.

Malaysia and the Paris Agreement 

Ms Kwong is a Partner in Rahmat Lim & Partners' Litigation Department and she serves as a member of the Bar Council Environment and Climate Change Committee.

National Policy on Climate Change 

Associate Professor Dr. Maizatun is a law lecturer at IIUM and her major area of interest is environmental law. She has been appointed as a consultant by several ministries for environmental-related projects. She also has authored numerous articles that have been published and presented at many conferences, local and international. 

Legal Approaches to Environmental Protection 

Mr Kiu is a practising lawyer and serves as the current deputy Deputy Co-Chair of the Bar Council Environment and Climate Change Committee. He also serves as a Lead Coordinator for the All-Party Parliamentary Group Malaysia on the Sustainable Development Goals.
